new palpal email scam

I ran into a email from paypal showing a receipt from paypal for $500.00 payable to google play
I called paypal and was told its an email scam and to forward it to spoof@PayPal.com however when I tried to forward the message
it deleted about 20 messages including the fake email from paypal from my inbox
I posted this to warn others
